Palmeiras had Allan's suspension upheld by the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD). The decision was announced after analyzing the appeals of Alexander Barboza and Allan.

What happened?

The STJD reduced Barboza's penalty to one game, but upheld Allan's suspension for two games. The decision was based on articles 258 and 254 of the regulations.

Barboza's penalty reduced

Barboza had been punished for offending referee Anderson Daronco during a classic Botafogo and Flamengo match. However, the STJD decided that the defender's offensive words were the result of momentary frustration.

Allan remains suspended

Allan was framed in article 254, related to violent conduct, after stepping on a Chapecoense player. The defense tried to argue that there was no malicious intent, but the STJD upheld the suspension.
